Having just completed a major refurbishment programme, the hotel now has a stylish and contemporary feel throughout, with 104 newly decorated en suite bedrooms creating a comfortable and welcoming environment.
The hotel’s spacious lounge has a sleek, modern and relaxed atmosphere whilst the in-house Chequers Pub offers a more traditional English pub environment in which to dine or relax. The stylish new Brasserie Restaurant offers a superb dining experience, with freshly created dishes and a generous selection of wines from around the world to complement your meal.
The hotel’s good location and excellent transport links make it a great choice for both business and leisure guests. The close proximity to the region’s motorway network and the regular airport shuttle service mean the Menzies Chequers is ideal for airport stopovers.

Transfer Service:
The shuttle service operated by Centra buses serves the North and South terminals of Gatwick Airport.
The shuttle bus (number H3) operates every 30 minutes to and from the airport, visiting the South Terminal (bus stop 12) before proceeding to the North Terminal. The bus leaves the hotel at 5 minutes past and 25 minutes to the hour. The journey time to South Terminal is 15 minutes; 5 minutes further on to North Terminal. Between 23:55 and 04:05 the bus is 'on request', but still operating every 30 minutes. Please call the hotel from the yellow courtesy telephone at the bus stop to let them know you are waiting. From 04:35 the bus reverts to a scheduled service. Buses may be subject to delay during peak times. Please allow plenty of time to get to the airport.
Tickets can be purchased from reception or from the driver and the cost is GBP 2.50 per adult and GBP 1.50 per child, each way.
